We love to have fun at Mountfair but we also take our winemaking very seriously. We only make red wine, because we love red wine — and because we believe you should pour your passion into what you love.
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Tannat – all traditional Bordeaux grapes – are used in crafting our red blends. All our fruit is meticulously sorted as we look for peak ripeness before beginning the closely watched fermentation process. The wines are then aged in French and American oak for a minimum of 14 months before blending and final release.
Freed from the constraints of creating single varietals, we blend to our palates — finding the best combination of what eventually finds its way into every Mountfair bottle.
